Before
calling your physician, have a pencil and
paper ready and the following information (except in emergencies):
We don't have specific "call-in" hours in our practice, but we do appreciate if you try to make the "routine" and non-urgent calls during the regular office hours, 8 to 6, Monday through Friday. Since one of our priorities is to keep to our appointment schedule, we ask you to leave those non-urgent calls on our voice mail system. We return your calls during a lull in the schedule, lunch time or at the end of the day (which can be after 8 pm on some days.) For emergencies during office hours, just ask the secretary to grab one of us -- DO NOT leave a voice mail message. After hours, if you call our regular telephone number, (516) 466-KIDS, you can leave non-urgent messages on the voice mail system. We check for messages every one or two hours until 11 pm. For after hours medical emergencies ONLY, simply page us at the 800# posted on our answering system.
If you prefer to email non-urgent
questions,
rx refills, etc., please feel free. If you click on the CONTACT US
ONLINE
icon, your non-urgent requests will reach our office by fax and/or
email. You may send a non-urgent message to any of us and we'll either reply via email or phone. Just click below on any of our names! This is for non-urgent matters only! William M. Gerba, MD Gary S. Mirkin, MD Heidi R. Russ, MD Karen A. Rubel, MD Mary Ellen Cassidy, PA
